The Peak Rider Roadcraft Workshop is a highly-informative and interactive classroom-based safety seminar. The goal is to help you better understand how to achieve an equal measure of greater safety and more riding enjoyment. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a newly-minted rider or a seasoned veteran you’ll find the Roadcraft Workshop a fun and very useful experience.
The purpose of the Roadcraft Workshop is to help road riders of all ages and abilities to gain a clearer understanding of the fundamental aspects of safe and enjoyable road riding. We show how taking greater responsibility for your safety is always the best path to becoming a better rider.
We begin by looking at our motivations to ride – and why that’s important – before examining attitudes towards responsibility, risk and vulnerability. Rather than focus on specific bike handling skills we discuss how beliefs and mindset inform the key elements of proficient riding.
In addition, we share a blueprint for creating a better ride by employing a planned and systematic approach. Using the right tools gives a rider sufficient time to react to hazards, and helps avoid potentially costly riding errors. A more proactive approach improves your situation awareness and makes riding a safer and ultimately more satisfying experience.
The workshop is a highly informative gateway pointing towards further forms of advanced rider training. It doesn’t matter whether you’re newly-licensed or a high-mileage veteran you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the number of useful takeaways.
Workshops typically run from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm. A light lunch is provided.
